Studie se věnuje zmínce o R. Barthesovi v knize B. Hrabala, jež je čtena jako index opakování a vyjednávání autobiografična. Autor se věnuje podmínkám pro přenesené i přenášející barthesovské čtení Hrabalových textů z 80. let 20. století, zvláště těch domněle autobiografických.
